OPC UA Edge Sync

The OPC UA Edge Sync is designed to simplify the process of configuring and populating the IXON Machine Insights Cloud using OPC UA.

The OPC UA Edge Sync provides a guided setup wizard that runs on the IXON Secure Edge Pro.

After installation, users can access the wizard through their browser to start the configuration.

The wizard guides users through the following steps:

• Log in
  Set up a dedicated service account and use its credentials to securely grant access to your IXON Machine Insights Cloud.
• OPC UA Connection
  Establish a connection to your OPC UA server.
• Create Data Source
  Create a new data source or extend an existing one.
• Synchronize variables
  Automatically retrieve variables from your OPC UA server and sync them with your IXON Machine Insights Cloud.
• Tags
  Choose which variables to log and assign tags. Default logging settings are applied, which can be adjusted later.
• Push Device Configuration
  Send the configuration to the IXON Secure Edge Pro.
• Completion
  The setup is complete, and you can optionally uninstall the application from the Edge device.
